Recipient Invitation Messages: Add a Note to the Invite

Enhance your invitations with a short message — like leaving a post-it on a document — to guide or inform your participants.

Understanding Recipient Invitation Messages

Recipient messages let you attach a short note to participant invitations. This message appears in the email sent to each signer and can include instructions, reminders, or friendly context to help move the signing process forward.

How It Works

  • One Message Per Locale: The message is the same for all participants, but you can define it in multiple languages (sv-SE and en-US).
  • Markdown and Variables: Supports basic Markdown (**bold**, _italic_) and dynamic content like {{recipient.name}} or custom data.
  • Email Only: The message appears only in the email — not in the signing interface.

Practical Application

Let’s say you want to tell the recipient to review a contract by a certain date, or include a reference number — recipient messages make that easy. They’re flexible, lightweight, and don’t interfere with the signing flow.

Smart and Personal

  • Localized: Participants receive the message in their preferred language, if available.
  • Context-Aware: Use recipient and agreement data to personalize each message.
  • Safe and Simple: All content is sanitized. Only Markdown is allowed.
